Blessing International Mission started in 2007 and with only 17 children in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo. The favela’s are known as some of the poorest areas of Brazil, they are often located on the outskirts of majors cities like Rio de Janeiro. Many of these people live in poverty, do not have access to proper housing, education and basic health care.
